Important Information
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd trades under the name Magic Hills Private Collection. When reference is made to “Sky Lodge”, “iLanga Manor House” or “Elsa’s Farm House”, this includes Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd, its shareholders, directors, employees and representatives. These General Terms and Conditions apply to all visitors to Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd and to all entities making or confirming visitor bookings at Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd. It is the responsibility of the entity that makes or confirms the booking with Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd to ensure that all visitors are aware of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
SECTION A — RATES
Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd has the right to amend its rates and these terms and conditions without prior notice. Confirmed bookings will be honoured at all times.
SECTION B — BOOKING, PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY
Provisional bookings:
a) > 30 days out: Provisional bookings for arrival more than 30 days out are automatically released after 7 days.
b) 30 days < out: Provisional bookings for arrival 30 days or less out are automatically released after 72 hours.
Confirmation of Accommodation at Friedshelf 1383 (Pty) Ltd:
Once a reservation has been confirmed by the client in writing, our cancellation policy will apply. Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd will confirm a reservation subject to the following policy:
a) > 60 days out: Receipt of a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total invoiced amount for accommodation within business / banking days from written confirmation by the client or forwarding of the deposit request by Sky Lodge, whichever is the later. Balance of the payment is due 30 days before arrival.
b) 60 days or less out: Receipt of 100% of the total invoiced amount within 5 business / banking days from written confirmation, but at least before arrival. Late payment of deposits or balance payments will result in bookings becoming subject to reconfirmation and may result in cancellation.
Confirmation of Third-Party Services:
Reservations for additional services (transfers, participation conservation activities etc.) that have been made on behalf of the client, can only be confirmed upon receipt of payment in full for such services. The terms and conditions, booking and cancellation policies of the third-party service provider apply.
Instalments:
a) All bookings confirmed at more than 60 days prior to arrival are subject to a single deposit payment as specified above and a single balance payment of the total invoiced amount that remains outstanding. Balance payments must be received no less than 30 days prior to arrival of the client.
b) All bookings confirmed less than 60 days out are subject to a single payment of the total invoiced amount at confirmation.
Currency:
Services are invoiced and payable in ZAR, receipts of payment will be credited to the booking in ZAR of the receiving bank on date of receipt.
Remittance:
Copies of all remittance advices must be forwarded to our reservations office via email: reservations@magichills.com
Bank Charges:
All bank charges are for the account of the client. Accommodation, third party services and other disbursements must be paid via Electronic Fund Transfer. For payment of these services via credit card, a 5.27% surcharge applies. In the event that a booking is paid in more than the instalments as specified above, any deductions incurred for receipt of the additional payments by Magic Hills will be for the account of the guest.
Check-out:
Payment of any and all extras are to be settled prior to departure. Extras can be settled in ZAR or via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). Payment of accommodation, transfers and any disbursements via credit card is subject to a 5.27% surcharge.
CANCELLATION
In the event of a cancellation, the following charges and conditions will apply:
Cancellation from date of confirmation up to 30 days prior to arrival: 25% per proforma invoice will be charged.
Cancellation 14 – 29 days prior to arrival: 50% per proforma invoice will be charged.
Cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival: 100% per proforma invoice will be charged. .
Confirmed additional services: 100% per proforma invoice will be charged.
All cancellations must be made in writing to our reservations office reservations@magichills.com
Friedshelf 1383 (PTY) Ltd will take compassionate circumstances into account at its own discretion. In such event, clients may re-schedule their stay once within 12 months of the original date of arrival. Payments received will be credited to such re-scheduled booking. Credits are not transferrable from the principal traveller(s). A surplus will not be refunded. Rate increases apply.
REFUNDS
In the event that a refund is due, this will be paid via bank transfer. Any cost incurred by Magic Hills for the initial receipt the funds and any bank charges applicable to the refund will be borne by the client
