With a stone facade and columns of bay windows the two-story Best Western Angel & Royal Hotel is said to be the oldest inn in Britain. It has a 600-year history and the interiors including the award-winning restaurant and the bar with its inglenook bar preserve many of the original architectural details. Individually decorated with an eye on tradition the 29 rooms and suites have period-style furnishings that often include four-poster beds.
