Firstly it is not in Darling. It is a 15 minute drive away. Also for the price we were expecting a bit more (it is very basic, just a very old microwave, 2 plate stove, kettle, toaster & bar fridge). HOWEVER if you were expecting just one step up from camping then the place is fantastic. There are loads of birds and animals to see. Having zebras on your doorstep is not something you will experience everyday. The people are very friendly and took good care of us.

Very basic cottages. Take your own dishwashing liquid, cloths, shower/hand soap. No large bowls or containers for salad etc. No wine glasses. There are pots and a pan. Food at farm stall not bad and quite a few eating places for breakfast, lunch close by. Try Beulah's Farmstall 500m before the Yzerfontein turnoff for breakfast/lunch and some delicious Italian style breads.

Looked for accommodation in Darling, this is definitely not in Darling.  Disappointing not as advertised.  Owners tried to accommodating.  Curtain was torn so did not close properly.   They advertise the big home which is not what we got.  Instead 4 couples got to stay in other Self catering cottages.  Advertise an outside  bath area which is disgusting to say the least.

Had a lovely time at the estate. I initially missed some of the usual creature comforts such as dstv but soon appreciated the extra quiet time it afforded. I found it a really good family venue as the cottages are spacious and the kids love the farm animals and extra friendly zebras.

The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the host made an effort to serve us early morning breakfast. Unfortunately there was no hot water in the morning and breakfast a bit disorganised.
