Krugersdorp Game Reserve

Krugersdorp Game Reserve is home to four of the Big 5 as well as hippo, giraffe, numerous antelope and prolific birdlife. Most visitors come here to check out the lions in their enclosure. There’s also a large bird aviary.

The habitat is mostly grassveld with small dams and reed beds. Keen birders will be reaching for their binoculars to spot grassveld and woodland species including Ayres' cisticola, cloud cisticola, desert cisticola, fantailed cisticola, rufous-naped lark, anteating chat, grassveld pipit, black korhaan, kurrichane buttonquail and Montagu's harrier.

Visitors have the option of exploring the reserve in their own vehicle or on horseback. Experienced trail guides will assist beginners to get comfortable in the saddle. Facilities include braai and picnic spots.
